Bernardo Bizzo, MD

Bernardo C. Bizzo, MD, PhD is a trained diagnostic radiologist and faculty of the Massachusetts General Hospital Radiology Department and Harvard Medical School. He is the Senior Clinical Director of the Mass General Brigham (MGB) Data Science Office and leads its Digital Clinical Research Organization (CRO). Dr. Bizzo is a Senior Scientist of the American College of Radiology (ACR) Data Science Institute and a member of the ACR’s Commission on Informatics. His work and research focus on the development, validation, and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) systems. Dr. Bizzo has led the development of more than a dozen clinical AI applications over the past 5 years, collaborating with MGB clinical and research investigators and industry partners. He and his team at the Digital CRO are responsible for AI validation studies for both regulatory submissions and clinical deployment with ongoing monitoring.
