Jayvant Heera

Clinical Group Lead, Rare Diseases Executive Director, Pfizer

Jayvant Heera, MD, MFPM, currently serves as Clinical Group Lead in Rare Diseases, Executive Director, based in Groton, Connecticut. Jayvant has over 20 years of clinical drug development experience in various therapeutic areas and in various clinical development roles.Jayvant Heera joined Pfizer’s European R＆D headquarters in Sandwich in 2005 providing clinical oversight on HIV clinical studies. Prior to this role, Jayvant held a clinical research and medical affairs physician role at Eli Lilly in Basingstoke, UK.

In 2007, he obtained his membership to the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine through the Royal College of Physicians in the UK. Jayvant transitioned to New London, Connecticut, USA, in 2007 and subsequently served in various clinical development roles including Global Clinical Lead (GCL), Asset Team Lead, Clinical Group Lead. He has experience supporting major regulatory filings globally and has led regulatory discussions including presentation at an FDA Advisory Committee meeting. Jayvant has also presented publications at international conferences and served as Business Process Owner for Informed Consent.

In 2010, Jayvant was awarded the Clinical Trial Excellence Award by PhRMA (Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America) at a Discoverers Awards ceremony.
