Sofia Devine

Physical Therapist, Massachusetts General Hospital

Sofia Devine is a Senior Physical Therapist for the MGH Physical Therapy department at the MGH Chelsea Health Care Center, specializing in oncology and orthopedics. She has provided physical therapy services to the Chelsea, MA community for 21 years.

Sofia has participated in numerous multi-disciplinary community outreach programs and events including MGH Chelsea Community Research Council, MGH Chelsea Public Outreach Pandemic Team, Youth Power up program, MGH Chelsea Chronic Disease Management program, MGH Health Care Center Women’s Health fair, MGH Chelsea summer safety and Fall Prevention for the Chelsea Senior citizens. Sofia appeared on Urban Update as a team member of the MGH Chelsea HealthCare Center Diabetes program and was a participant on Chelsea Community Cable TV’s “Standing on Solid ground” on the topic of fall prevention.

Sofia’s teaching background includes lab instruction for MGH Institute of Health Professions and Harvard University Medical school, and volunteer seminar PT instruction at the University of El Salvador.

Sofia lives in Topsfield, MA along with her husband, mother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, and her two children. She enjoys hiking, skiing, and keeping her elderly family members active.
