Dr. Cooper, MD, MSc, FACS, is an Associate Professor at Harvard University, and an acute care surgeon, trauma surgeon and surgical intensivist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital where she holds the Michele and Howard J. Kessler Distinguished Chair in Surgery and Public Health and serves as the Kessler Director for the Center for Surgery and Public Health and Director of the Center for Geriatric Surgery. Dr. Cooper’s is an internationally recognized research leader and clinical innovator at the intersection of surgery, geriatrics, and palliative care. She has authored over 160 peer-reviewed manuscripts, mentored over 25 individuals, and is a leader in several national academic societies.
